Credit: Anna WebberDavid Crosby has added three new shows to his 2020 U.S. tour, joint performances with acclaimed Americana act Jason Isbell and the 400 Unit taking place in early June.
Crosby will open the concerts, which are scheduled for June 4 at Wolf Trap Center for the Performing Arts in Vienna, Virginia, and June 5 and 6 at Pier 17 at Pier 17 at South Street Seaport in New York City.
The 78-year-old folk-rock legend will play a set that mixes older classic songs from his long career and new material. Tickets for the gigs are on sale now via DavidCrosby.com.
Crosby has performed live with Isbell and his band on a few occasions, including at the 2018 Newport Folk Festival in Newport, Rhode Island. In a November 2018 interview with ABC Audio, David revealed that he was writing a song with Jason that he thought might appear on his next studio album.
As previously reported, David’s 2020 U.S. tour is mapped out from a May 14 concert in Santa Barbara, California, through a June 21 show in Westhampton Beach, New York. Crosby will be accompanied on the trek by his Sky Trails Band, which features musicians that contributed to his 2017 solo album, Sky Trails, as well as his upcoming record.
The group’s lineup features David’s son James Raymond on keyboards, Mai Leisz on bass, Steve “Stevie D” DiStanislao on drums, Jeff Pevar on guitar, and Michelle Willis on keyboards and vocals.
