Michael Dorf PresentsSome new performers have been added to star-studded concert saluting Carly Simon that takes place at New York City’s famed Carnegie Hall on March 19, including The BanglesSusanna Hoffs and legendary songwriter Jimmy Webb.

The show is the latest in the series of annual tribute concerts organized by local entrepreneur Michael Dorf and focusing on a single well-known artist.

Also joining the event’s lineup are The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel and Monk actor Tony Shalhoub, U.K. pop star Natasha Bedingfield, Canadian singer/songwriter Deborah Cox, and Carly’s niece, Julie Simon.

Previously announced performers on the bill include Cyndi Lauper, Michael McDonald, former Fifth Dimension singers Marilyn McCoo and Billy Davis Jr., Darlene Love, Indigo Girls, and Linda Perry, as well as Ben and Sally Taylor — Carly’s two children with ex-husband James Taylor — and James’ brother, singer/songwriter Livingston Taylor.

Carly has revealed that she’ll attend the show, although it’s not known if she’ll also perform.

Proceeds from the concert will go toward various music-education programs for underprivileged children and young people. Tickets are available now via CarnegieHall.org and MusicOf.org.

“I’m proud to be involved with bringing music into the lives of underprivileged children, it’s a tribute to them,” Simon says. “I will be singing along with all of the exceptional performers who have given their time. If it’s only in the rehearsals, I’m going to be footloose in the aisles.”

Meanwhile, a special rehearsal concert featuring at least some of the performers taking part in the Carnegie Hall tribute will be held on March 18 at The Cutting Room in New York. You can purchase tickets for that show at CityWinery.com.
