Norfork baseball, Flippin softball open seasons with wins

In high school baseball Thursday, Norfork opened its season with a 16-4 win over Shirley. Tyler Sorters got the win on the mound.

In softball action:
-Flippin blasted Omaha 12-2.
-Calico Rock was a 12-2 winner over Shirley.
-Salem fell to Batesville Southside 8-2.
