On Wednesday, Mayor Braim announced the city park and ball field, including restrooms and the concession area, are closed for practices, league play and tournaments until April 1. Anyone who has made payment to reserve the park pavilion for parties or reunions may reschedule or receive a refund.

Those requesting a refund should contact city hall and provide a mailing address.

In Tuesday’s meeting, the Gassville council also approved a contract with Hyrda-Clean to do flooring maintenance at the community center and fire department and voted to move city funds in certificate of deposit accounts to savings accounts.

The council also approved a non-binding resolution supporting proposed Amendment 1, which is the continuation of a one-half cent sales and use tax for state highways, county roads and city streets.
