Rick Guest/Interscope RecordsThe Who have announced rescheduled dates for its recently postponed 2020 spring tour of the U.K. and Ireland, which now won’t take place until March of next year.
The 10-date trek now will kick off on March 5 in Dublin, Ireland, and is slated to wind down with a March 29 concert in Manchester, U.K.
Who frontman Roger Daltrey tells fans who are holding tickets to the postponed concerts that the trek may be “the last time we do a tour of this type, so keep those tickets, as the shows will be fantastic.”
One of the band’s 2020 U.K. concerts hasn’t been rescheduled yet, a March 28 performance at London’s Royal Albert Hall that was part of the annual Teenage Cancer Trust benefit concert series. The entire series has been postponed, and it has yet to be decided if or when the shows will be rescheduled.
The Who currently is scheduled to launch a spring U.S. tour leg on April 21 in Hollywood, Florida, although it seems likely that that trek also will be postponed. Among the originally announced stateside shows was an April 25 headlining appearance at the New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival, but that event has now been pushed back to the fall.
