A man who flung a water bottle at another male who was chasing him out of his residence appeared in Baxter County Circuit Court earlier this month.

Thirty-three-year-old Thomas Michael Forrest of Mountain Home was arrested in late July last year after he is alleged to have entered a residence without permission.

Forrest pled guilty and was given five years probation.

According to the probable cause affidavit in the case, Forrest was accused of loudly blaming the home’s occupant for a break-in at three storage sheds.

A Baxter County deputy sheriff, who was responding to the break-in call, saw Forrest enter the residence. The deputy said Forrest remained only a short time before he backed out of the home with the male resident in hot pursuit.

Forrest then “angrily” threw a water bottle he was carrying, apparently aiming at the male, but hitting a female standing outside near the door to the residence. The bottle then ricocheted off the woman’s face and struck the man.

Both residents told the deputy under no circumstances was Forrest allowed to let himself into the residence.

Forrest was charged with third-degree battery, a misdemeanor, and residential burglary, a felony.
