A former St. Louis Cardinal has a public service announcement on YouTube. David Freese’s message on the importance of social distancing can be found on the Missouri Department of Transportation’s channel.

Freese can be seen in the video encouraging everyone to take care of themselves, but also remembers others. He also stresses the importance of caring for families and staying close to loved ones.

Freese spent nearly 11 years in Major League Baseball, including five with the Cardinals. He won the MVP awards for the National League Championship Series and the World Series when St. Louis won the title in 2011. Freese set the MLB postseason record that year with 21 RBIs.

Click here to see Freese’s video. Tune in everyday through May 11 for replays of the latter portion of the Cardinals’ 2011 regular season and their run through the playoffs on KTLO-AM.
