
The local civic group Mountain Home CARES has announced its second meal distribution is slated Friday afternoon from 4 to 7 in the Roller Hall portico at Arkansas State University-Mountain Home.
This week, 100 meals each will be distributed from OM Greek, Arena Grill and At the Curb. An additional 100 meals from Bookworms Cafe will be distributed – courtesy of The Meat Shop. Anstaff Bank will also be there to support Easter cheer.
Mountain Home CARES was established to provide meals for those in need, while also supporting local restaurants while they deal with health restrictions from the COVID-19 pandemic.
Those looking to make donations to the efforts can send them to the Salvation Army, located at 121 State Highway 201 North, by mail at P.O. Box 650 in Mountain Home (c/o MH CARES) or by phone at 870-424-5708.
In its first outing last Friday, the group distributed 400 meals in just 25 minutes.
