More than 60 sex-related offenses have been filed against a Boone County man, 42-year-old Ryan Steven Warren of Omaha.
According to the three probable cause statements filed Monday morning, the investigation by the Arkansas State Police’s (ASP) Criminal Investigation Division began April 1. The investigation stemmed from a CyberTip report by Google the previous day to the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children (NCMEC).
The NCMEC categorized the tip as a priority 1, indicating a current or imminent risk to an individual or child.
The tip indicated approximately three videos and 12 images containing child explicit material.
During the investigation, Warren was identified as the suspect, and a search warrant was executed at a residence along Old U.S. Highway 65. During a post Miranda interview, Warren allegedly admitted to sharing the videos with other people in an internet chat room and receiving other images and videos from people he then stored on his cellphone.
Warren also reportedly identified the victim in the images and videos to be a 13-year-old female.
The following day a special ASP agent interviewed the 13-year-old female victim. Based on the content of the interview, Warren was charged with one Class Y felony count of rape. Class Y felonies are the most serious class of crime in Arkansas not punishable by death.
Following a search of Warren’s cellphone, the special agent allegedly located 346 videos and images of child explicit material. All juveniles in the videos ranged in age from 2 to 16-years-old.
In addition to rape, Warren faces eight counts of computer exploitation of a child, two counts of second-degree sexual assault and 51 counts of distributing, possessing, or viewing of matter depicting sexually explicit conduct involving a child, all felonies.
The timeline of the alleged offenses ranges from 2017 to this month.
Warren is being held on a bond of $500,000.
