The Mountain Home City Council will consider a trio of ordinances at its regular monthly meeting Thursday night in council chambers of the Mountain Home Municipal Building.

Under consideration will be: an ordinance permitting municipal employees and officials to conduct business with the City of Mountain Home; an ordinance pertaining to maintenance of real property and provisions for abatement of nuisance properties or structures within the city; and an ordinance to set regulations on fishing in McCabe Park.

The fishing-related ordinance pertains to a problem with the public over fishing the ponds in the park. Mountain Home Mayor Hillrey Adams first broached the issue last month, when he told the council people were “filling their coolers with fish” and ruining the experience for park visitors.

The council will also hear an update on a property at 819 Cedar Street, an unoccupied residence the city moved to raze last year.

The meeting will begin at 6 p.m.
