A man was found to have an uncapped syringe hidden in his body while being booked in the Baxter County Detention Center Wednesday, leading to a felony charge. Thirty-one-year-old Kenneth Edward Morosky of Mountain Home was originally being booked on a misdemeanor assault charge until jailers discovered the uncapped syringe, needle side first, in his rectum.

According to the incident report, deputies were called to a residence on Big Pond Place off State Highway 5 South Wednesday morning for a report of a domestic disturbance. The female caller told 911 disptachers Morosky was tearing up the residence and was armed with a gun. She told the responding deputies Morosky was upset because he couldn’t find $200 worth of pills in the residence.

Officers and the victim were able to talk Morosky out of the house unarmed. The gun was found in a bathroom and two TVs in the house were found to have been smashed.

It was while he was being booked into the jail the syringe was found.

Morosky faces a felony charge of furnishing prohibited articles and a misdemeanor charge of assault on a family or household member in the third degree. He is free after posting bonds totaling $2,500.
