A Boone County man, 25-year-old Raymond Gaige Miller of Harrison, has been arrested and charged with one count of rape, a Class Y felony. Class Y felonies are the most serious class of crimes in Arkansas not punishable by death.
Online jail records indicate Miller was booked into the Boone County Detention Center on Tuesday.
According to a probable cause affidavit, the charge stems from an investigation of a reported sexual assault of a 14-year-old female last July.
During an interview at Grandma’s House Child Advocacy Center in Harrison, the teen disclosed she was pregnant and has since given birth. During the investigation, Miller was developed as a suspect.
Cheek swabs were obtained from Miller and submitted to the Arkansas State Crime Lab. The results of the tests indicate the probability is 99.99% that Miller is the father of the baby.
He is being held on a $100,000 bond.
