A lawsuit has been filed in U.S. District Court against Bull Shoals Mayor David Nixon and the City of Bull Shoals by the owner of a local archery range. Owner Paula Flippin is seeking $75,000 in damages in the suit.

According to court documents, the lawsuit alleges Mayor Nixon emptied a storage building owned by Flippin and threw away its contents. The suit claims nearly $50,000 worth of property was destroyed following a dispute over who owned the building.

In a recent visit with Bob Knight on KTLO-FM, Nixon asked to address the lawsuit.

He says while he can’t go into many details about the pending suit, he said people will conclude there’s nothing to it, when all of the facts come out.
