14 area residents receive degrees from UAMS

Degrees and certificates have been conferred to graduates of the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences’ (UAMS) five colleges and graduate schools. Fourteen of the 914 graduates are from the Twin Lakes Area.

Half of the local graduates received their Doctor of Medicine degrees from the UAMS College of Medicine. The list includes Charles Armistead, David Kilgore, Kenneth Kilgore and Trevor Meece of Mountain Home, Ryan Oliver of Henderson, Levi Watson of Violet Hill and Jordan Wells of Harrison.

Three other area residents graduated from the UAMS College of Pharmacy. Danielle Price of Yellville, Brayden Fountain of Calico Rock and Cheyenne Beene of Melbourne received their Doctorate of Pharmacy degrees.

Two local residents received degrees from the UAMS Graduate School. Cameron Ryan of Mountain Home obtained a Master of Science in Interdisciplinary Biomedical Sciences, and Crystal Rose of Mountain View received her Doctor of Philosophy in Nursing Science.

The remaining two area residents graduated from the UAMS College of Health Professions. Eryn Wilson of Yellville received a Master of Science in Communication Sciences and Disorders, and Taylor Hensley of Harrison obtained a Postbaccalaureate Certificate in Dietetics and Nutrition.

UAMS was unable to hold a commencement ceremony due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
