An area man drowned late Friday evening on Lake Taneycomo. According to the Missouri State Water Patrol, 50-year-old Frankie Mills of Rockaway Beach was pronounced dead at the scene.
Mills was reportedly on a boat dock in Rockaway Beach. The Taney County man fell from the dock and into the lake. After Mills was pulled from the water, a deputy coroner pronounced him dead at 11:15 p.m.
Mills’ death is the first non-boat related drowning reported by Troop D for this year.
