Ozark County officials taking extra safety precautions for Tuesday’s election

This year’s general municipal elections in Missouri are slightly different compared to years past due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The elections, normally held in April, were pushed back until Tuesday, and Ozark County officials are among several throughout the state using safety precautions due to coronavirus remaining a threat.

Ozark County Clerk Brian Wise says the voting process will be similar with some noticeable differences.

Wise says some polling locations may have social distancing markers on the floor or the ground, but even if they don’t, there will be some form of a sign for voters to see.

Tuesday’s polls will open at 6 a.m. and close at 7 p.m.
