Charges have been filed in connection with an incident Monday reportedly involving a shot being fired into a Mammoth Spring residence, with a female victim standing only a few feet away in the front door.According to the probable cause affidavit filed Wednesday, 27-year-old Timothy Hedrick allegedly fired the single round from a handgun at the residence along Walker Avenue. An address for Hedrick was not provided on court documents.A Fulton County deputy was dispatched to the residence where the victim said she and Hedrick had an argument earlier that day, with him striking her in the eye with his fist or hand. The victim’s eye was visibly swollen.

Hedrick had left the residence following the argument, only to return minutes later.

The woman said when he returned, he knocked down the front door, entered the home and began breaking items. She said he then went to his car, drove through the yard and fired the bullet from the vehicle.

In addition to the close proximity of the victim to the location where the bullet struck the residence, she noted her three children were in the living room near the window where it passed through.

The deputy located the intact bullet inside a window casing.

The report notes Hedrick is a convicted felony and was on parole at the time of the incident.

A warrant has been issued for Hedrick’s arrest with felony charges of unlawful discharge of a firearm from a vehicle and possession of firearms by certain persons, meaning he is a convicted felon. He also faces a misdemeanor charge of third-degree battery.

Bond was set at $20,000.
