Change of plea hearing scheduled for impaired ex-pathologist

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. (AP) – Court records show a former Arkansas pathologist charged with involuntary manslaughter in the deaths of three patients after being accused of working while impaired is scheduled for a change of plea hearing. Robert Morris Levy pleaded not guilty to charges that he missed the diagnoses with fatal results in three cases due to working impaired at the Veterans Health Care System of the Ozarks. The 53-year-old Fayetteville man was indicted Aug. 16. The Arkansas Democrat-Gazette reports that U.S. District Judge Timothy L. Brooks will preside over the hearing slated for Thursday.
