
While Mountain Home slipped a tad in the most recent census tally among the top 30 cities in Arkansas in response to the 2020 Census, it remains in the top 10.
According to the U.S. Census Bureau, Mountain Home has a response rate of 71.9%, putting it in sixth place.
Last week was the fourth reporting period for the Arkansas Municipal League. Until then, Mountain Home had been ranked third in the state.
In addition, data from the U.S. Census Bureau indicates Baxter County, with a completion rate of 61.9%, ranks fifth among Arkansas’ 75 counties. Boone County is also in the top 10, ranking eighth.
Baxter County Judge Mickey Pendergrass is among 30 volunteers across the state appointed by Gov. Asa Hutchinson to the Arkansas Complete Count Committee to promote statewide participation in the Census 2020. Pendergrass is the lone county judge serving on the committee.

Arkansas ranks 42nd among its counterparts, with a completion rate of 55.3%.
