Lockeroom whips Batesville to win consolation bracket at Paragould tourney

The Mountain Home Lockeroom American Legion baseball team cruised past Batesville 13-0 Sunday afternoon to win the consolation bracket at the Glen Sain GMC Tournament at Paragould. The Lockeroom scored eight runs in the first, one in the second and four more in the fourth to end the game due to the run rule.

Dawson Tabor got the win on the mound, striking out seven in four shutout innings, while allowing just two hits.

At the plate, Andrew Cantway drove in three runs, while Tanner Burnham and Tabor each drove in two.

The Lockeroom improves to 11-8 on the season and will return to action Thursday in the Glen Winget Memorial Tournament in Bartlesville, Oklahoma, against Springfield Kickapoo.
