2 other local senior classes graduating Friday evening

Two other local senior classes will join graduates from Norfork in commencement ceremonies Friday evening.The Calico Rock High School Class of 2020’s commencement is set for 8 at the lower parking lot of the high school.School district officials ask all attendees to practice social distancing and wear a mask.

Six chairs are assigned to each graduating senior for immediate family members. All other family and friends will need to bring a lawn chair or a blanket for seating.

Mammoth Spring High School will hold its graduation ceremony at 7 at the Mammoth Spring State Park, with a rain date of Saturday morning at 10.

Each senior has been given 10 tickets for friends and family to be inside their pod on the baseball field. No one will be allowed inside the fence without a ticket.

All guests inside the field are required to wear a mask. No entrance will be allowed without a mask. Other guests will be allowed in the area outside the fence until the capacity is reached to maintain 6 foot distance from others. The bleachers will be sectioned off and unable for use, so bringing lawn chairs is encouraged.

When the ceremony ends, seniors will be dismissed to their vehicles followed by the pods to their vehicles.

The ceremony will play on livestream from the Bear Facebook page. Also, for those in close proximity to the field, there will be a radio station playing the ceremony for those who want to attend but stay in their car.

The 2020 commencement at Norfork Public Schools is set for Friday evening at 6;03 on the high school baseball field.

Viola’s 2020 commencement is set for Saturday morning at 9 in the schools’ gymnasium.

Due to capacity restrictions, each graduate’s family will be limited to 10 guests. There will be a preassigned section of bleachers designated for each family to sit. Other guests will not be able to attend this year’s ceremony.
