Newton County Sheriff Glenn Wheeler says a man missing for a week from Newton County has been located in Wyoming and is safe.

Sheriff Wheeler says in a Facebook post, “A lot of prayers were answered in the wee hours of this morning.”

Just over one week ago, the search began for 20-year-old Jonathan Barrett Brantley of Mount Judea. He had been last seen going to a nearby residence where he did work for the owner. His phone was found at the residence where he had been working.

One week later, the search was expanded nationwide, following newly discovered evidence.

No other details were provided regarding how Brantley was located.
