Arkansas reports 549 new coronavirus cases, 10 more deaths

LITTLE ROCK (AP) — Arkansas on Thursday reported 549 new cases of the coronavirus and 10 more deaths from the illness caused by the virus.

The Department of Health reported at least 54,765 people have tested positive for the virus.

The number of people who have died from COVID-19, the illness caused by the virus, rose to 641. The number of people hospitalized remained unchanged at 499. Three of the new deaths reported Thursday occurred in July and are late reports, the department said.
