A Mountain Home woman who has had difficulty abiding by the terms and conditions of her probation appeared in Baxter County Circuit Court Thursday.

Thirty-two-year-old Crystal Lou Hodge entered a guilty plea to the charges against her and was sentenced to four years in prison.

She was last arrested in early March when found passed out in the driver’s seat of her vehicle in front of the midtown Dollar General Store.

When a Mountain Home police officer arrived and began talking with Hodge, she decided to cut the conversation short.

Her car was backed into the parking spot, and when the officer opened the driver’s side door, Hodge “burned out” and took off at a high rate of speed.

The officer was struck in the left arm and the left side of his face by the door. After Hodge was arrested, the officer was treated and released at Baxter Regional Medical Center.

After Hodge decided to run, the officer pursued her and observed her going the wrong way down a one-way street and running a number of stop signs.

She pulled into the driveway of a residence along Hickory Street, but refused to get out of the vehicle.

The pursuing officer and a second Mountain Home policeman, who arrived to assist, got Hodge out of the vehicle and into handcuffs.

As Hodge was being booked, she got into more trouble when various prescription medications were discovered.

Hodge could supply no evidence to how she had obtained the controlled substances legitimately.

The first drug-related charge against Hodge shown on electronic court records was filed in 2013.

A number of petitions to revoke her probation have been filed.

The numerous reasons given for asking for the revocation include being involved with drugs, associating with felons engaged in criminal activity, failing to report to her probation officer, changing addresses without notification and evading supervision in various other ways.

In early August last year, Hodge was convicted of possession of methamphetamine and paraphernalia used to ingest the drug and put on probation for six years.

In a revocation petition filed at the time, it was noted Hodge had even failed to report for her first scheduled visit.

She has also failed to appear for scheduled court appearances and warrants have been issued for her arrest.
