The Mountain Home softball program is preparing for the 2021 season. Tryouts will be held this week at Freedom Field at McClain Park.
Students in ninth through 12th grades will try out on Wednesday. A junior high squad is being added for this school year, and eighth and ninth grades will try out Friday. Sessions will begin at 3:30 each day.
Participants must have a current physical before trying out. Athletes will need to bring their own water, cleats, gloves and helmets.
Temperatures will be checked upon entering the park. Anyone with a temperature of 100.4 degrees or higher will receive a tryout on a different date. Athletes cannot show symptoms within 48 hours of tryouts.
