MHHS JV football falls at home; 7th, 8th graders split

It was mixed results for three Mountain Home football teams at home Monday night.

The high school’s JV team lost to Harrison 40-26. Brady Barnett led the offense by throwing for 186 yards and two touchdowns and rushing for 76 yards and one touchdown. Reece Ducker had four receptions for 37 yards, and Jaxon Hannaford caught three passes for 37 yards.

The JV Bombers are 2-1 and will host Springfield Lighthouse Christian next Monday.

The Mountain Home eighth grade won 7-0 over Springfield Lighthouse Christian. While the defense pitched a shutout, Dominick Yonts had the game’s only touchdown.

Lighthouse Christian won the seventh grade game 14-8.  Mountain Home’s touchdown came on a 30-yard pass from Brantlee Phillps to Caelan Reynolds.
