A local school district has announced the cancellation of Monday’s classes. The Gainesville R-V School District will be closed Monday due to an issue with the city’s water pump.
A district representative said on Facebook school officials have been notified by the City of Gainesville the issue will be corrected on Monday, but water will not be available on the campus that day. Classes are expected to resume on Tuesday.
Gainesville will also have its first virtual learning Friday this week.
