Multiple ways to pay Arkansas property taxes as deadline approaches

The deadline for payment of property taxes in Arkansas is quickly approaching on Oct. 15. Baxter County Collector Teresa Smith is advising there are multiple ways to make payments without making a trip to her office. Smith says she is aware many are attempting to avoid settings with large numbers of people due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

And check payments may also be mailed.

Those who would like to make payments online can go to baxtercounty.org and look for the “Pay Your Taxes Online” tab on the collector’s page. Smith says the link will lead taxpayers through the necessary steps for online payments or members of her staff will gladly assist.

After Oct. 15, any unmade payments will be subject to a 10% penalty.

Baxter County taxpayers with questions may contact the collector’s office at 870-425-8300. The office is located at Eight East Seventh Street on the south side of the Baxter County Courthouse square in Mountain Home.
