Canadian truck driver seriously injured in Missouri Highway 5 crash

A Kitchener, Ontario, Canada man suffered serious injuries when his tractor-trailer crashed Monday evening in Ozark County.According to a crash report from the Missouri State Highway Patrol, 58-year-old Timothy B. Adams was injured when his Freightliner crashed 3 miles south of Gainesville on Missouri Highway 5.The report says the truck ran off the right side of the roadway, the driver overcorrected and the vehicle slid across the roadway counter clockwise, before impacting a tree on the passenger side.

Adams was transferred by air ambulance to Cox South Hospital in Springfield for treatment. The accident occurred at approximately 5:30 p.m.
