Arkansas hospitalizations from COVID-19 continue to rise

LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (AP) – Hospitalizations because of COVID-19 have climbed to a new high in Arkansas. The state Department of Health reported Wednesday that the number of people hospitalized because of the illness caused by the coronavirus has risen by nine to 538, a record high for Arkansas. A day earlier, the state hit its highest point for coronavirus hospitalizations since early August. The state’s confirmed coronavirus cases rose by 684 to 84,914 and its probable cases rose by 125 to 3,966. The state reported 13 more COVID-19 deaths, bringing its total fatalities to 1,482.
