The Izard County boys’ basketball teams opened their seasons with wins Monday night at home against Pangburn.
In the varsity boys’ game, Izard County held off Pangburn 87-75. Coby Everett led the way with 31 points, Noah Everett scored 21, Caleb Faulkner had 14 points, and Gunner Gleghorn added 10.
The Junior Cougars were 49-40 winners. Jude Everett paced Izard County with 21 points, and Noah Mosley added 17.
