The Ozark County Library will conduct an Election Day book sale Tuesday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. in the basement sales area. The library itself will remain closed, due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Most books will be 50 cents for paperbacks and $1 for hardbacks. The event will also include some books, magazines and VHS movies that are free for the taking.
“We want to help people stock up for their winter reading without having to spend an arm and a leg,” says Kathryn Atkinson, Library board president “We have a lot of great books, including books on quilting, crafts and other activities, plus a lot of cookbooks.”
Those attending the basement sale are asked to wear masks and “use common sense” about distancing, Atkinson adds.
