MH City Council to vote on creating account for future fire station

Last month, the Mountain Home City Council approved a resolution to accept a donation of land for the purpose of constructing a fire station. During this month’s meeting set for Thursday at 6 p.m., the council will vote on the creation of an account for the new station, and the members will also decide on moving $500,000 to the account in a budget adjustment.The Sharp Family Trust donated real estate to the City of Mountain Home in the amount of three acres. Online property records for Baxter County show the parcel of land is on U.S. Highway 62B.In other business, the council will decide on the relocation of the private club permit of the West Creek Supper Club from U.S. Highway 62 West to Highland Circle, an ordinance vacating the street right of way in the Oaks Subdivision and guidelines for constructing balconies on the Baxter County Courthouse square.The council will also vote on an ordinance waiving competitive bidding and buying laptops, docking stations, other IT equipment, peripherals and software licensing for the CARES Act remote access project. The council is also set to approve a line item for reimbursement the city received for July’s health insurance premiums.

The meeting will be held in the administration building.
