The Mountain Home High School cross country teams had quite the successful day at the Class 5A State Meet at Oaklawn Park in Hot Springs.
The Lady Bombers ended up as the state champions, and for the second consecutive year, Marcie Cudworth came away with the individual title. Cudworth was joined on the All-State team by Rylee Patterson and Jordan Ritenburg
Whit Lawrence was able to capture the boys’ individual championship, but Mountain Home fell just short of repeating as state champs. The Bombers ended up second with Lake Hamilton winning the crown by a two-point margin. In addition to Lawrence, Mountain Home’s other All-State selections include Andrew Westphal, Tyler Firment, Hendrix Hughes, Ky Bickford and Bryson Hodges.
