The Marion County Quorum Court is set to meet in regular session Tuesday evening at 6. The meeting was postponed one week, after having been set for last Tuesday evening.Just six items are on the agenda for the court’s consideration, including an ordinance levying millage taxes for cities, the county, county library, fire protection and school districts for 2020. This action is taken annually during the quorum court’s November session. A comparison of this year’s proposed ordinance to the tax millage levies for personal and real property for 2019 indicates no changes are being considered. In other business, the court will consider a transfer of funding in the clerk’s office, a reimbursement appropriation for the general election, action on the overtime line item and an amendment to numbers and compensation in the E-911 department and the correction of a receipting error in the treasurer’s office.
The meeting will be held in the second floor courtroom of the Marion County Courthouse.
The complete agenda packet is available on the county website at the bottom of the County Judge’s Page: http://marioncounty.arkansas.gov/judge.
