A Flippin man was struck and killed late Friday afternoon by a pickup truck on the Sheid-Hopper Bypass. The Arkansas State Police reports 22-year-old Caleb Wheeler was transported to Baxter Regional Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead.
According to the Mountain Home Police Department, the truck was in the westbound lanes of the bypass, when it struck Wheeler at the intersection with Rossi Road. The driver of the truck was not listed by the state police.
The road was dry, and the weather was clear at the time of the 4:47 p.m. accident.
