Area highway to be closed for culvert replacement

An area highway in Southern Missouri will have a temporary closure this week for construction. A portion of Missouri Route K in Howell County will be closed from 8 a.m. Tuesday to 3 p.m. Thursday for Missouri Department of Transportation crews to replace culvert pipes under the road.

The closure will start at Route K’s intersection with County Road 6720 and continue to the intersection with County Road 7530 east of Spring Creek. The work zone will be set up for 24 hours per day and marked with signs. Motorists are urged to seek alternate routes.
