
Baxter Regional Medical Center is reporting several doses of the Pfizer-BioNTech COVID-19 vaccine have been administered, as Arkansas’ hospitalizations hit a new daily record Tuesday. Baxter Regional posted on its Instagram it provided 1,176 doses in five days with none wasted.
During his weekly update on Tuesday, Arkansas Gov. Asa Hutchinson said 1,103 coronavirus patients were hospitalized in the state. There were 1,941 new cases reported Tuesday, bringing the total to 205,048, with 21,979 of those cases active. Forty-three additional deaths were reported, bringing the toll to 3,338. In addition, 173 patients are on ventilators.
The total number of COVID-19 cases in Baxter County is 1,870, and 213 of those are active. The death count in Baxter County is currently at 48.
Baxter Regional has reported 1,044 total positive cases out of the 13,490 tested in the system. The hospital currently has 22 coronavirus patients, with three in the intensive care unit and two on ventilators. Baxter Regional has also reported 281 total COVID-19 admissions.
Twenty-one Baxter Regional employees currently have active COVID-19 and are in isolation at home. The hospital states 234 total employees have tested positive for coronavirus.
