Friday basketball schedule includes MHHS heading to Siloam Springs

High school basketball makes up much of the local Friday schedule, as conference play continues for Mountain Home. It will be the third of four consecutive road trips for the Bombers and Lady Bombers, as they head to Siloam Springs.
Mountain Home’s girls are 2-10 on the season and 1-0 in the 5A-West. The Lady Bombers began league action Tuesday with a nine-point win at Alma. Siloam Springs is 8-3 and 0-1. The Lady Panthers are coming off a 23-point loss to Vilonia.
The Mountain Home boys are 4-6 overall and 0-1 in the conference. The Bombers suffered an eight-point loss at Alma three nights ago. Siloam Springs is 7-6 and 1-0. The Panthers topped Vilonia on Tuesday.
The junior varsity boys’ game tips off at 5 p.m. The varsity contests begin around 6 and can be heard on Classic Hits 101.7 and streaming live at ktlo.com.
Also in the 5A-West, Greenbrier hosts Van Buren, Vilonia travels to Alma, and Russellville makes the trip to Greenwood.

Gainesville’s girls will return to the road to play in the semifinals of the Sparta Lady Trojan Invitational. The Lady Bulldogs will face the host and top-seeded Lady Trojans at 7.

Elsewhere, Mountain Home Christian Academy heads to Mountain Grove Christian, Cotter travels to Decatur, Flippin makes the trip to Eureka Springs, Yellville-Summit entertains Life Way Christian for two boys’ games, Ozark Mountain takes on Deer at the Bruno-Pyatt campus in Eros, the Gainesville boys head to Conway, Dora’s boys are home against Licking, Viola hosts Lead Hill, Salem entertains Midland, Calico Rock travels to Fox to meet Rural Special, Izard County makes the trip to Concord, Mammoth Spring travels to Armorel, Melbourne makes the trip to Imboden to play Sloan-Hendrix, Marshall is home against Hector, Timbo heads to Greers Ferry to take on West Side, Mountain View travels to Clinton, Bergman hosts Green Forest, Valley Springs makes the trip to Cedarville, Omaha entertains Mount Judea, and Jasper heads to Kingston.
