Arkansas Gov. Asa Hutchinson’s announcement Tuesday on Phase 1B of the COVID-19 vaccine rollout has caused considerable confusion to the public.
During his weekly update, Hutchinson said the state would begin the rollout of Phase 1B next week and announced changes to who would be eligible for the phase. The biggest changes were the addition of teachers and members of the public age 70 and over. The announcement has led to Baxter Regional Medical Center (BRMC) being inundated with calls about the vaccine, according to Barney Larry, VP of business development and executive director, Baxter Regional Hospital Foundation.
