Early morning fire damages MH residence; no injuries reported

An early Sunday morning fire caused damage to a residence in Mountain Home. No injuries were reported from the fire at 510 East First Street.

According to a report from the Mountain Home Fire Department, the flames started in an attached garage and spread to the house. There was heavy damage to the garage area and smoke damage in the remainder of the house. The name of the residence’s owner was not available, and the cause remains under investigation.

The alarm came in at 3:41 a.m., and crews were on the scene for two hours. Seventeen personnel went to the residence with two fire engines, a ladder unit, a rescue unit and another support vehicle.
