MH wins 3 of 4 at Batesville to end junior high basketball season

The season came to an end Thursday for Mountain Home’s junior high basketball program, as they won three of four games at Batesville.

The freshman girls’ game ended with the Junior Lady Bombers topping the Junior Lady Pioneers 28-21. Parker Huskey paced Mountain Home with 13 points, and Ashlyn Estes added 12. The Junior Lady Bombers end the year at 17-3.

Mountain Home’s freshman boys were not as fortunate, as they fell to Batesville 33-27. The Junior Bombers were led by Ryder McClain with 12 points. Mountain Home falls to 7-8 to finish the season.

Mountain Home dominated the eighth grade boys’ game, as they doubled up Batesville 48-24. McClain was the Eighth Grade Bombers’ leading scorer with 14 points, and Drew McGehee chipped in 10. Mountain Home ends up with a record of 8-5.

The night started with the eighth grade girls’ game, with Mountain Home beating Batesville 29-10. The Eighth Grade Lady Bombers’ final record is 8-3.
