Students from the Mountain Home Junior High choirs competed virtually for a spot in the Region 6 choir in late January. This event, normally held in-person, was new territory for the Bomber choirs, according to Laken Hopper, director. Each student submitted a recording with audition material to be blindly judged alongside singers from every program throughout Northwest Arkansas.
The Mountain Home Junior High choirs earned record numbers this year, with 20 eight and ninth grade students earning a chair.
