Baxter Regional Medical Center (BRMC) will conduct its COVID-19 vaccination event at the Baxter County Fairgrounds Friday as scheduled. Beginning at 8 a.m., Pfizer BioNTech COVID-19 vaccines will be administered to those that registered earlier this week and have an appointment. Remember to bring a photo ID, health insurance information and a face mask.
Please be assured any outside exposure will be minimal and multiple precautions will be taken to get everyone into the Education Building safely. BRMC encourages those with scheduled appointments to be safe and take their time. Vaccinations will still be administered, even if they have to come later than their scheduled appointment time. Those that have appointments Friday, but are unable to attend, should sign up again when registration reopens.
“We appreciate your patience and understanding,” BRMC says in a news release. “Please remember that only those with appointments will be allowed to enter the fairgrounds. If you do not have an appointment, please do not attempt to enter, as this only adds to traffic delays.”
BRMC says when another shipment of vaccines is received, an announcement will be made and registration will reopen online at www.baxterregional.org/vaccine or by calling the Baxter Regional COVID-19 Vaccine Hotline at (870) 508-3100.
The hotline will only be active when time slots are available. Please do not call or leave a voicemail on the Baxter Regional COVID-19 Vaccine Hotline until registration reopens, as messages will not be checked or recorded.
The facility also asks the public to “hold all inquiries regarding the COVID-19 vaccine at this time and be sure to check for updates on www.baxterregional.org/vaccine, in the local media and @BaxterRegional on Facebook, Instagram and Twitter.”
