The Baxter County Library has converted to a new account and catalog management software. Patrons who are accustom to accessing their account through the library’s website will notice a few changes and enhancements.First, the way patrons log into their account may look a little bit different. When visiting www.baxlib.org, to access library card accounts, click “My Account” in the upper right-hand corner of the screen. Your “Username” is your 14-digit library card number, and your “Password” is your eight-digit birthday (MMDDYYYY). Please note previous EZ-password or PIN has been changed to eight-digit birthday date by default for all users.Once patrons have logged into their accounts, they may build multiple book lists of titles they would like to read next. They may also select titles or authors to watch for and automatically reserve.
A new feature when patrons are searching the catalog is the series feature. When searching for a title that it part of a series, scroll down and see all other titles in the series in order.
Library officials says as with any software conversion of this size, there are still a few kinks to be worked out. Some people have reported receiving error messages while accessing their online account or searching the catalog. If you receive an error message, try clearing the cache on your device, or turning your device off and back on. If the problem persists, contact the library for assistance. Library staff is available by phone 10 a.m. – 5 p.m. Monday through Saturday at 870-580-0987.
