Snowfall nearing conclusion for Twin Lakes Area

The winter precipitation is nearing its end for the Twin Lakes Area, although some portions may still be seeing a snowfall. North Central Arkansas remains under a winter storm warning until noon Thursday.

Meteorologist Sean Clarke from the National Weather Service office in North Little Rock says a wintry mix could still be affecting Fulton and Izard counties.

At KTLO, Classic Hits and The Boot, the official reporting station for the National Weather Service in Mountain Home, the total snowfall reached 10 inches. There were 3 1/2 inches recorded Monday at 7 a.m., another 3 on Tuesday, 2 1/2 Wednesday at 7 a.m. and another half inch since 7.

While the snowfall may be coming to an end, Clarke urges area residents to continue exercising caution on the roads.
