All Arkansas post offices were set to resume normal operations Tuesday after a temporary suspension at some facilities, including three local ones, due to recent winter ice and snowstorms.
Last week in the height of the extreme winter weather conditions, the United States Postal Service (USPS) advised it was temporarily suspending retail and delivery operations at 32 post offices in Arkansas, including Elizabeth, Gamaliel and Viola.
The U.S. Postal Service apologizes for any inconvenience the temporary suspension may have caused its customers.
In a news release, USPS says although it is delivering, there could be some residual impacts nationwide within its network.
USPS asks its customers to be patient, if they are expecting packages or specific mailpieces.
“We are processing, transporting and delivering all items as quickly as we can. We appreciate the patience of our customers during this time,” the release notes.
