The National Weather Service (NWS) has issued a tornado watch effective until 8 p.m. Wednesday evening for Boone, Marion, Newton and Searcy counties in North Central Arkansas.
A tornado watch means tornadoes are possible in and near the watch area. The NWS advises those in the watch area to review and discuss their emergency plans, check supplies and their safe room. Be ready to act quickly if a warning is issued or you suspect a tornado is approaching.
