An area sheriff and his officials are mourning the loss of their deputy K9. According to television stations KOLR/KRBK, Newton County Sheriff Glenn Wheeler says Bella was killed Thursday in a non-work-related accident.
The sheriff’s office, other law enforcement agencies and Bella’s handlers, the Sirmons family, will hold a semi-private gathering in the near future to honor her memory.
