Baseball and softball make up the local Friday schedule.
Mountain Home’s varsity baseball team will welcome Harrison to McClain Park. The first pitch on Pitts Field is scheduled for 4:30.
Mountain Home’s junior varsity squad will begin action in a tournament at Harrison. The JV Bombers meet Pocahontas at 8 p.m. at Equity Bank Sports Complex.
Flippin returns to Cassville, Missouri, for two more games in the Wildcat Baseball Classic. The Bobcats face Gravette at noon and Galena at 2:15.
Three area baseball teams will be in Batesville to open the First Community Bank Small School Classic. Izard County will be paired with Midland at 10 a.m., Mountain View takes on McCrory at 10, and Viola plays Palestine-Wheatley at noon.
Elsewhere, Mammoth Spring will host an outing with Dora and Alton.
Melbourne will compete in the Ozark Softball Classic in Harrison.
